Well, we have a lot to catch up on. I wanted to give everyone a recap on what has been going on with our club over the last few weeks!
Executive Committee!
We inducted our new Executive Committee on July 6th, 2016!

Training!
Six of our seven officers were trained on July 9th! Which means we have already hit one of our DCP goals for the term.
FYI for the officer that needs to be trained or if you belong to another club, make up training will be help on Friday, July 29th from 7:00-9:00 at Greenwood Park Classroom. Barbara Blankenship
We had a great visit from Barbara Blankenship, our Division Director last week! We hope to see her soon.
Kilja Suh
A long time member and past club president, Kilja Suh ACS, announced she was retiring from Toastmasters. On behalf of the club, I would like to thank her for her contribution to the club. She always gave heart-felt and informative speeches. One of my personal favorites was her speech about rice cookers.
PICNIC!
Our picnic last Saturday was a huge success! Thank you to our past Sgt. at Arms, Patrick Poole, for organizing the event! Everyone brought delicious food. I hope everyone tried the samosas Laurie brought or one of Anne's homemade meatballs! Cameron, our current Sgt. at Arms, grilled the hot dogs and hamburgers to perfection despite the finicky grill. Alright! That is the lowdown with Club 280. Don't forget to join us tomorrow, Wednesday, July 20th at 7:00PM at the Marie Calendars in Torrance (or any Wednesday!). Bring your friends, family, colleagues, pets.... okay maybe not pets. We may have to make a motion to allow pets. :)
